ONE: Believe in yourself. Every thought we have manifests our reality so thinking positively can really change the outlook of your life. If you are a chronic negative thinker then this will undoubtedly be a limitation. Changing our thought patterns is not easy but it can be done. Neuroplasticity is the term used for changes in our neural pathways; changes in behavior and environment and brain messaging (our thinking). Our neural pathways can be changed simply by redirecting our negative thoughts on a consistent basis. Fake it till you make it and kick negative thinking to the curb because its killing your dreams and has no place in living limitlessly.
TWO: Educate yourself. Many women compare to an ideal that is not attainable. This renders millions of women pining for a perfect body, hair, skin and it doesn’t stop there. The perfect Mother, having the perfect home, etc. Anything less, then we feel like shit because we are conditioned to do so. If we look at the statistics of the diet industry and the sheer volume of beauty consumption and line them up with the statistics that conclude that millions of us are still suffering from low self esteem then there is no other reconciliation than we are being duped by propaganda, severely limiting us. Step into your unique beauty and remember propaganda sells in the millions – don’t “buy” it.
THREE: Get involved. There is a feminist body love revolution happening in the Western World as we speak. Women are done with trying to conform to an ideal that doesn’t exist for most of us. When you get involved you have a voice in our future and you add power to the movement’s energy and flow. We need to be leaders to our younger counterparts. Make small steps, mentor a young girl, start a blog, or lend a hand to a woman in need. When we get out of “self” our soul is open to the universe and consequently unlimited possibility.
FOUR: Move your Body. Endorphins are a girl’s best friend and the best high, naturally or otherwise. It’s something that can be done for free at anytime. Many women have used exercise in a punishing way and aggressively to lose weight. Move your body joyfully and without any expectation. Building physical strength delivers an authentic, powerful persona and builds confidence. In order to achieve your limitless life, you first need to know it is possible with strength and confidence.
FIVE: Build your Village. This comes back to believing in your-self and creating new thought patterns. Staying positive is easier to do when positive, likeminded people surround you. Build your village with only those who also realize your dreams and potential and who champion your pathway to success. There will always be people who want to keep you small, its time to say goodbye because playing small is limiting your life.
SIX: Make Someday a Reality. It astonishes me how many times I hear people blow off their dreams in such an undeserving way, like: “I always wanted to travel but…” On a “Top 5 Regrets from the Dying” written by palliative care nurse, Bronnie Ware she writes number one as: I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.“This was the most common regret of all. When people realize that their life is almost over and look back clearly on it, it is easy to see how many dreams had gone unfulfilled. We simply don’t know how long we are here so It’s essential to make someday a reality. Step over your barriers to living the life you want – whatever it takes.
SEVEN: Follow Through. This is a big one because there are a lot of talkers out there who never walk their talk and that is a damn shame because we only get one life. No one is interested in something you didn’t do – This lyric that has stuck with me for years from Canada’s Tragically Hip. So, when you say you are going to do something, a goal or a commitment, make sure you think it through and realistically look at the time and energy it will take to follow through. Following through inches you forward to your limitless life and builds confidence. It also ranks you as a person with integrity who follows through. This is the gateway to limitless living.
It is difficult to create new practices and habits but your limitless life is worth investing the time and energy for living fulfilled life without limitations.
